Devang Thakur is from Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh. He received his early education in Barabanki and later moved to Lucknow to pursue a Master’s degree in Geography. It was in the literary environment of Lucknow and through his academic journey in Geography that Devang found his path in poetry.

His verses reflect honesty, depth, and innocence—qualities that are rarely seen in the poetry of the newer generation. Devang is known for his strong command over language and poetry, which has become the hallmark of his growing popularity. He continues to gain recognition as a distinctive and thoughtful voice in contemporary Urdu and Hindi poetry.
